Celebrations are beautiful vacations. I was treated to a few of these escapes this past week and, boy, I just reveled in them!
We had a September party for teachers and staff who celebrated their birthday this past month. Everyone was invited to enjoy the decadent cake!
End of September marks my sweet husband's birthday and we've been celebrating since August. His actual birthday this year was more of a culminating event than The Big One. This must be one of the sweetest mini vacations I've had this year.
Oh, sweetheart, you make my days so much more interesting. I'm so proud of you and how good you are as a husband and father.
This short rendezvous was quickly followed by an exciting afternoon with students, teachers and families at the school I teach in. What with slippery eels, exquisitely hand-made lanterns, abundant food tables and eager smiling faces all around - who can't help but get caught up in the enjoyment of life?
I love it when life spices up my days just so. It cathes me in its wheel and leaves me spinning and giddy with happy dust. Exhausted, yes. Full of life, yes, that too.
